OIC Foods is working with some of the most reputed and biggest retail partners in Canada like Walmart, Sobeys, Loblaws, Costco, Save on Foods, Metro, Food Basics and Circle K to name a few. **Why join OIC Foods?** * Discretionary bonus program. * Health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. * RRSP/DPSP program. * 2 paid sick days. * Corporate discounts through Perkopolis. * Monthly company lunch. * Team building events. * Annual holiday party and BBQ. **The Role:** Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for executing and managing monthly, quarterly, and annual processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in executing accounting and financial support for the day\-to\-day full\-cycle accounting and finance functions. **Responsibilities:** * Perform month\-end journal entries, adjustments, accrual entries. * Perform bank reconciliation and BS accounts reconciliation. * Analyze and interpret financial statements and assist the Financial Controller in preparation. * Responsible for executing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and filings. * Lead the year\-end inventory count and audit reporting. * Oversee the entire accounting cycle, including cost accounting activities – standard cost updates, variance analysis, and margin reporting. * Preparing internal and external financial statements in compliance with GAAP. * Monitoring raw material and finished goods and other inventory accounts balance, reconciling discrepancies with operations. * Support budgeting and forecasting processes with data\-driven insights and variance analysis. * Mentoring and providing guidance to AR \& AP staff regarding the best practices. * Assisting in compliance with tax filings, audit requests, and regulatory reporting (e.g. WSIB, HST, etc.). * Identifying and driving process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. * Support in the creation of departmental controls, SOPs and Governance. * Assist and lead in Accounting and Organizational wide projects and initiatives. * Be a subject matter expert in the ERP system. * Ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and industry\-specific financial regulations. * Assisting with the accounting on the subsidiaries when required. * Be a lead on process automations and system implementations. Any other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller. **Qualifications \& Experience:** * Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related fields. * Pursuing a CPA designation. * 3 to 5 years of experience in fully cycle accounting, preferably in Manufacturing. * Intermediate Excel skills. * Experience with ERP implementations. * Experience with costing. * Demonstrated ability to managed deadlines in fast passed environment. * Strong attention to detail, organizational skill, and accuracy. * Solid understanding of full cycle accounting and financial reporting. This is an in\-office role located at our Mississauga, Ontario location. Annual Compensation: $75,000\.00 to $90,000\.00 per year plus discretionary bonus opportunity.
