Senior Accountant

Title: Senior Accountant / Client Manager A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated accountant to join a progressive and supportive team in Birmingham as a Senior Accountant / Client Manager. This position offers excellent client exposure, autonomy, and professional development in a growing practice. Based in Birmingham, you'll manage your own portfolio, provide insightful financial advice, and play an active role in mentoring junior team members. The role offers a competitive salary in the range of £45,000\-£50,000, designed to reward experience and potential. Key Responsibilities * Review bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts across a varied portfolio. * Oversee statutory accounts, corporation tax, and personal tax compliance. * Prepare advisory and technical documentation for senior review. * Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing deadlines and queries efficiently. * Support Managers and Directors on client workflow, including Accounts, Tax, Payroll, and VAT. * Develop a thorough understanding of clients' business operations to deliver commercially sound advice. * Guide clients on best practices in system setup, controls, and software use. * Mentor junior team members and contribute to staff training and development. * Identify areas to streamline internal processes for greater efficiency.
