Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounting

Position Details Position Title: Senior Accountant – Finance \& Accounting Employment Type: Full\-Time, Permanent Position Level: Mid\-Senior Level Location: Toronto, ON Role Description This hybrid role supports both financial analysis and accounting functions, including management reporting, financial modelling, and month\-end close processes. Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis \& Planning ·       Prepare financial models including scenario and sensitivity analyses ·       Analyze KPIs, trends, and financial results to provide insights ·       Develop dashboards and executive\-level reporting ·       Perform actual vs budget, actual vs prior month, and actual vs prior week analysis ·       Explain variances with clear business insights Accounting \& Month\-End Close ·       Execute efficient and timely month\-end close cycles ·       Prepare journal entries, accruals, and amortizations ·       Review and validate financial entries for accuracy ·       Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies ·       Support financial statement preparation (IFRS/GAAP) Reporting \& Business Partnering ·       Prepare management summaries and financial reports ·       Partner with stakeholders to understand cost drivers ·       Support pricing, forecasting, and business case development Process Improvement ·       Improve close timelines and reporting automation ·       Enhance data quality and financial processes ·       Maintain financial models and reporting templates Qualifications Education \& Experience ·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field ·       CPA (completed or in progress) preferred ·       3–5 years in accounting / FP\&A hybrid roles ·       Experience with fast\-paced month\-end close cycles ·       Exposure to multi\-location or multi\-entity organizations ·       Early career experience in AR/AP is an asset ·       Manufacturing industry experience is a strong plus Technical Skills ·       Advanced Excel (modelling, pivots, formulas) ·       ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) ·       BI tools (Power BI / Tableau) is an asset . Strong PowerPoint skills
