**Job Summary:**
As a Senior Accountant, you will provide essential contribution to the finance function by handling day\-to\-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, and administrative duties. Working closely with the Finance Manager and/or Regional Finance \& Business Compliance Manager, you will maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with international and local financial regulations, and driving efficiency in processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* General Accounting: Responsible for all day to day accounting operations, including maintaining the general ledger posting general journals.
* Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, manage approvals, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
* Bank and Cash Management: Record transactions, perform reconciliations, set up/approve bank payments and manage collections and dunning processes. Monitor cashflow and manage local banking, in collaboration with Group Treasury when required.
* Expense Management: Handle travel and management expense reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
* Month\-End and Year\-End Reporting: Responsible for month\-end and year\-end closing processes, including all balance sheet reconciliations \- such as stock reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and inter\-company accounts \- providing documentation as required. Accurate and timely preparation and submission of reports in line with Group reporting requirements and local financial regulations.
* Fixed assets: maintain fixed asset register and ensure capital acquisition approvals documented in line with delegation of authority.
* Payroll: management of relationship with with external payroll providers ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Internal Controls: document and implement processes and policies, to ensure a strong internal control environment and compliance with G3 Internal control requirements.
* VAT and Tax Compliance: Preparation of VAT returns and tax declarations, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
* Financial Planning and Budgeting: Collaborate with Sector Finance Partner and Regional Finance \& Business Compliance Managers to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Audit Support: Participate in internal and external audits, offering necessary financial records and information.
* General Administration: Maintain records, manage customs documents and provide local office administration as required.
* Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other OpCos and teams within the region to ensure smooth financial operations and effective communication.
**Skills/Experience:**
* Previous experience in a busy finance or accountancy role supported by an accountancy degree or recognised professional accounting qualification is essential
* Fluency in English is required, as well as fluency in the local language.
* Relevant experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics AX) and advanced Excel skills.
* Hands\-on attitude, with strong reconciliation, problem\-solving, and attention\-to\-detail capabilities.
* Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with international and multicultural teams.
* Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.
