Title of Job: Senior Accountant Company: Al Ghazal Delivery Services Department: Finance Reports to: General Manager Location: Dubai Employment Type: Full\-Time Job Summary ·        **About the Company** Al Ghazal Delivery Services is a rapidly growing logistics provider with a 800\+ rider fleet, delivering seamless food delivery solutions in partnership with industry leaders like Deliveroo, Talabat, and Noon, Careem. ·        **Role Summary** As Finance Manager, you will spearhead the company’s financial strategy, ensuring fiscal discipline, regulatory compliance, and data\-driven decision\-making to fuel sustainable growth. Your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing accounting, financial reporting, taxation, payroll, procurement, and internal controls, while mitigating risks and optimizing profitability. ·       The ideal candidate will possess 3–5 years of experience in an accountancy or audit firm, with a solid foundation in financial principles, regulatory frameworks, and business analysis. Experience in the logistics, delivery, or service sector is an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Financial Management ·       Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payroll. ·       Prepare and analyses financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, variance analysis and cash flow statements, to assess the company’s financial performance and provide insights and support decision\-making processes. ·       Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure sufficient funds for daily operations, payments, and capital expenditures and prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts. Budgeting and Forecasting ·       Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, revenue projections, expenses, and capital investments and analysis. § Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates and analysis to management, highlighting any significant variances or deviations. § Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and guidelines Financial Reporting and Analysis ·       Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, for internal management and external stakeholders. ·       Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision\-making. ·       Conduct financial analysis, profitability assessments, and return on investment (ROI) calculations to support strategic and operational decision\-making. ·       Assist in evaluating potential investments, lease agreements, and contracts to ensure financial viability and adherence to financial goals Auditing Compliance and Internal Controls ·       Ensure regulatory compliance with tax, audit, and financial and accounting reporting standards. ·       Implement and monitor internal controls and financial governance frameworks. ·       Stay current on industry regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws. Payroll and Taxation ·       Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations and employment laws. ·       Coordinate with external payroll providers, (Talabat, Deliveroo, Noon etc), to ensure payroll\-related activities are executed smoothly. ·       Assist in preparing and filling tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and any other applicable taxes. Accounts Payable and Receivable ·       Manage accounts payable functions, including vendor invoice processing, payments approvals, and reconciliations. ·       Oversee accounts receivable processes, monitor customer payments, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.  ·       Maintain relationships with vendors and customers, addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and fostering positive business relationships **Process Improvement** ·       Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes, aiming to enhance efficiency by reducing manual tasks and implementing robust automated systems. Key Competencies and Skills ·       Strong knowledge of accounting practices and principles (GAAP/IFRS). ·       Strategic budgeting and forecasting abilities. ·       Audit and compliance expertise. ·       Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. ·       Strong ethical standards and data confidentiality. ·       Analytical mindset with trend and variance analysis capability. ·       Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. ·       Managing KPI’s such as Expense\-to\-Revenue Ratio, Accounts Receivable Aging, Accounts Payable Turnover and Budget Variance Analysis. Educational Qualifications and Experience ·       Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (CPA or ACCA preferred). ·       Minimum 5\-7 years of senior financial management experience, ideally in logistics or fleet management. ·       Proficient in ERP systems and accounting platforms. ·       Hands\-on experience with financial analysis, reporting, and audit processes.
