Scrub Nurse

**Job Summary:** The Scrub Nurse is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for maintaining a sterile field and assisting the surgeon during procedures. The role involves preparation of the operating room, instruments, and supplies, as well as direct support to surgeons throughout the operation. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and equipment. * Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after surgical procedures. * Assist the surgeon by passing instruments and other sterile supplies during operations. * Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure patient safety. * Monitor the surgical field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team. * Collaborate with circulating nurses and other OR staff to ensure smooth workflow. * Handle surgical specimens with proper labeling and care. * Follow infection control protocols and hospital policies at all times. * Assist in preparing patients for surgery as needed. * Participate in post\-operative clean\-up and re\-stocking of supplies. **Qualifications:** * Registered Nurse (RN) license (active and in good standing) * Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) preferred * At least 1 year of experience in a surgical or operating room setting * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred **Skills and Attributes:** * Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * Ability to remain calm and focused in high\-pressure situations * Strong organizational and time management abilities * Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy **Working Conditions:** * Work is primarily performed in an operating room environment * Requires standing for long periods and handling instruments * May involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials * Must be available for shift work, including nights, weekends, and on\-call duties Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent Pay: ₹22,000\.00 \- ₹26,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
