**Role Description**
The resident structural engineer will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the proper execution of
**structural remedial works, repair, and strengthening of reinforced concrete structures**
on\-site.
* Supervise daily site activities related to
**structural repair, rehabilitation, and strengthening of concrete elements**
.
* Concrete crack repair (epoxy injection, stitching)
* Concrete patch repair and reinstatement
* Structural jacketing (RC jacketing or steel jacketing)
* Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strengthening
* Structural grouting
* Corrosion protection and cathodic protection systems
* Replacement of deteriorated structural components
* Verify contractor compliance with
**approved shop drawings, method statements, and material specifications**
.
* Review and approve
**Inspection Requests (IRs)**
and
**Material Submittals**
.
* Coordinate with structural design engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
**Technical Skills**
* Strong knowledge of:
* Structural behavior of reinforced concrete
* Concrete deterioration mechanisms
* Repair materials and strengthening systems
* Familiarity with:
* Structural drawings and retrofit design
* Non\-destructive testing (NDT)
* Structural monitoring methods
**Qualifications**
* Proficiency in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering principles and practices.
* Strong skills in Structural supervision and assessments.
* Strong problem\-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
* Previous experience in structural assessment, rehabilitation, and strengthening projects is advantageous.
* Familiarity with construction codes, safety regulations, and best practices in structural engineering.
