Job Description
There is an exciting opportunity to work within the cancer business unit as a band 5 registered nurse. The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating of holistic and individualised care. This will be in line with local, Trust wide and national policies, procedures, values and behaviours. You will need to be a registered nurse with previous ward based experience and ideally demonstrate previous Oncology/Haematology experience. Evidence of the administration of medications intravenously and through CVAD's is desirable alongside the ability to perform skills such as Intravenous cannulation/venepuncture. However, full training can be given if this is not a skill you currently possess. SACT training is desirable but not essential. In addition, the post holder will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, enthusiastic and an effective team member committed to providing the highest level of service for our patients.
