Job Description
Surrey and Border is looking for someone who will be a member of the multi\-disciplinary children’s eating disorders team, participating in the provision of on\-going assessments, care planning and treatment of young people with eating disorders.

Working Pattern: 6 months, 37\.5 hours, from Monday to Friday, from 9AM to 5 PM
* Manage an individual caseload and undertake comprehensive assessments of children, adolescents, and families, including risk assessments and mental state examinations.
* Provide urgent assessments in cases involving deliberate self\-harm, refusal of food or fluids, or other high\-risk presentations requiring immediate intervention.
* Deliver therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and families using appropriate evidence\-based approaches across clinical, home, school, or community settings.
* Work collaboratively with Social Care, Education, and other relevant professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated and effective care.
* Assess referrals to Tier 3 services, determine appropriateness, redirect where necessary, and communicate assessment outcomes and treatment recommendations to referrers.
* Act as Care Coordinator for allocated cases, ensuring care planning and delivery align with organisational policies.
* Participate in post\-assessment meetings, base meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions.
* Work independently and jointly with colleagues on complex cases.
* Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with legal and organisational standards.
* Provide required statistical and activity data and input clinical information into relevant data systems.
* Liaise effectively with statutory and voluntary agencies involved in supporting young people and mental health needs.
