**Sales Manager (Food Import \& Distribution)** **Location:** Birmingham (HQ) (field\-based) **Job Type:** Full\-time, Permanent **Working style:** Hybrid (mix of field sales and Birmingham HQ) **Salary:** Competitive basic \+ bonus \+ car allowance/company car **(DOE)** **About Pathos Continental Foods** Pathos Continental Foods is a fast\-growing **Direct Importer and Distributor** of quality food products. Established in **2022**, we supply customers across the **United Kingdom** and beyond, serving **Foodservice, Horeca, Contract Catering** and **Food Manufacturing**. We’re building a high\-performing sales team and looking for a hands\-on Sales Development Manager to help scale growth. **The Role** You will **manage and develop** a team of **Sales Executives** while also driving growth by **winning new business** and expanding key accounts. You’ll report to the **Head of Sales \& Operations** and work closely with Procurement and Operations to ensure customers get great service and the right products. **Key Responsibilities** * Coach, manage and develop a team of **Sales Executives** (targets, activity, pipeline, negotiation, closing) * Lead weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews and field coaching to improve performance * Build new business across: * **Foodservice / Wholesale** * **Horeca (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés)** * **Contract Catering** * **Food Manufacturing / Ingredients** * Create a structured growth plan: target accounts, outreach cadence, meetings booked, proposals, conversions * Grow existing key accounts through range expansion, promotions and relationship management * Keep CRM/pipeline reporting accurate and deliver clear forecasts * Work with operations on availability, lead times, ordering patterns and customer expectations **What We’re Looking For** **Essential** * **3–6 years sales experience** (Sales Executive / Account Manager / Junior Sales Manager) ready to step up * Experience selling in a **food\-related environment** (foodservice, wholesale, manufacturing supply, hospitality supply) * Proven ability to **win new accounts** and develop relationships * Comfortable coaching others (formal management experience helpful but not required) * Strong commercial skills: negotiation, margin awareness, account planning * Full UK driving licence **Desirable** * Knowledge of import/distribution (lead times, MOQs, pricing structures) * Experience using a CRM and managing a structured pipeline * Contacts/experience in the West Midlands food trade **What You’ll Get** * Competitive package: **basic salary \+ uncapped commission\+ bonus** * **Car allowance** * **Private Pension Contribution** * Hybrid working: time in the field \+ Birmingham HQ support * A clear progression opportunity in a business that’s scaling quickly * High autonomy, fast decision\-making, and direct impact **How to Apply** Apply with your CV and include a short note on your food\-sector sales background Job Type: Full\-time Pay: £45,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year Benefits: * Company car * Company pension * Employee mentoring programme * Free parking * On\-site parking * Sick pay Work Location: In person
