**Job Title:** Regional Director of Operations **Company:** IPD Hospitality **Location:** Remote / Field\-Based (Must reside near a major airport) \- in Eastern or Central Time Zones. **Travel Requirement:** Approximately 75%\+ **Position Summary** **IPD Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated, hands\-on Regional Director of Operations to oversee an average portfolio of 6–10 hotel properties. This field\-based leadership role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives on the road, excels in multi\-unit management, and is passionate about driving operational excellence across diverse hotel assets.** **The Regional Director of Operations will serve as a key liaison between ownership, property leadership teams, and corporate support, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, financial performance, and guest satisfaction. This role requires a proactive leader who is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and step into properties as needed—including serving as interim General Manager during transitions.** **Key Responsibilities** * Provide direct oversight and operational leadership for 6–10 hotel properties within the assigned region * Travel extensively (75%\+) to conduct on\-site visits, audits, and performance reviews * Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost control across all assigned properties * Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements * Mentor, coach, and develop General Managers and property\-level leadership teams * Analyze financial reports, budgets, and KPIs to identify trends and implement corrective actions * Support new property onboarding, renovations, and brand conversions * Step in as acting General Manager during vacancies, leadership transitions, or critical situations * Collaborate with ownership groups to align operational strategies and performance expectations * Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement **Qualifications** * Minimum of 5\+ years of progressive hospitality leadership experience * Prior multi\-unit or regional management experience strongly preferred * Previous General Manager experience required * Proven track record of improving hotel performance and team effectiveness * Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P\&L management * Ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams across multiple locations * Willingness to be highly hands\-on and operationally involved * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem\-solving skills * Must reside within close proximity to a major airport for frequent travel **Key Competencies** * Leadership \& Team Development * Operational Excellence * Financial Performance Management * Adaptability \& Crisis Management * Strategic Thinking with Tactical Execution * Guest Experience Focus **Travel** * Regular travel required for property visits, company meetings, and strategic planning sessions. * Candidates must have access to a major airport and ability to travel as needed. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary * Health, vision, dental, life, and other supplemental insurance * Flexible remote work environment * Opportunity to shape overall strategy for a diverse and growing hotel portfolio * Collaborative and entrepreneurial company culture **About IPD Hospitality** *IPD Hospitality is a hotel management company operating a diverse portfolio of hotels across multiple brands and markets.
