As our practice is growing in size, we are looking for a friendly, patient\-focused dental nurse to join our expanding team. Oradent Dental Care treats both NHS and private patients in the local community. **Supporting You:** The successful candidate will be fully supported by the site Practice Manager. In addition to this you will also receive the support of our Operations Team; which currently includes: HR Manager, Operations Director, Operations Business Support Managers, Finance Team, Compliance Team, Performance and Marketing Manager and the Practice Principals/Owners. We want to reward this with opportunities for progression, incentives and training. **Hours:** 42\.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday**,** **Shift Pattern:** Monday \- Saturday, Flexible shift pattern **Full\-time role or Multiple people part time will be considered, permanent contract.** **Overview of Role:** The role of a Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse is to work alongside and assist Dentists and Hygienists in the care of patients. With the view to achieve excellent customer service, quality and delivery performance that are in line with company strategy, goals and values. Jobs tasks can include: * Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. * Maintain CPD and training matrix in line with the company policies * To provide chairside assistance to all clinicians and the procedures that may be involved * To comply with current infection control procedures and policies * Keep full, accurate patient records and update patient records keeping in with GDPR policies * Be familiar with all the dental services we offer * Be confident to work with computerised dental systems (training will be given in Dentally) * Monitor, support and reassure patients along with giving appropriate patient advice. * Support the patient and their colleagues if there is a medical emergency. * Ensure surgeries are well stocked/maintained at all times. * Follow company policies and procedures at all times. * Reception and Decon cover may be required **Qualifications** * GCSE or equivalent **Desirables** * Qualified Dental Practice Nursing: 2 years (preferred) **Skills** * Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability * Maintain high standards of patient care * Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required. * Deliver high standards of care to our patients * Commitment to further training and self\-development. **Benefits** * Additional Annual leave day for long service * Company events * Company pension * CPD provided by the company. **Ability to commute/relocate:** * **Oradent Southampton**: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Our Recruitment Process** At Oradent Dental Care we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive working environment.
