**The opportunity**
As a Siemens Polarion Specialist (Developer), you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and customizing solutions within the Siemens Polarion ALM environment. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and IT teams to ensure Polarion supports endtoend application lifecycle management, traceability, and compliance, while adhering to ALM best practices.
**How You’ll Make An Impact**
* Develop and customize Siemens Polarion ALM solutions to meet project and business requirements.
* Configure workflows, document structures, forms, fields, and user roles within Polarion.
* Develop custom Polarion functionalities including workflow automations, trigger scripts, macros, and custom LiveReports.
* Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Polarion LiveDocs, LiveReports, and Velocity scripting.
* Implement and maintain integrations between Polarion and other enterprise tools using REST APIs, SDKs, and OSLC standards.
* Enable teams to create, manage, and link test cases to requirements, and support visibility of testing progress and results.
* Support requirements management, test management, defect tracking, and change control across the full ALM lifecycle.
* Troubleshoot and resolve Polarion configuration and performance issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes.
* Support Polarion system administration, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
* Ensure adherence to ALM best practices, data integrity, and traceability requirements
**Your background**
* Proven hands\-on experience with Siemens Polarion ALM as a developer and configurator.
* Experience with Polarion workflow customization, scripting, macros, LiveReports, and Velocity.
* Proficiency in Java and REST API–based integrations; familiarity with OSLC standards is a plus.
* API Specification Awareness (Swagger / OpenAPI): Awareness of OpenAPI/Swagger concepts and ability to work with Polarion REST API specifications and related tooling (e.g., Swagger UI).
* Solid understanding of ALM concepts including requirements, testing, defects, baselines, and change management across Agile and/or Waterfall SDLCs.
* Experience integrating Polarion with other engineering, DevOps, or enterprise tools.
* Familiarity with Polarion administration, system configuration, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
* Documentation \& Training: Experience creating technical documentation and supporting or training end users.
