Plumbing Draftsman

Job Title: Plumbing DraftsmanJob Summary A Plumbing Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate **plumbing shop drawings, layouts, and coordination drawings** based on design drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards. The role supports the engineering and construction teams to ensure efficient installation of plumbing systems such as water supply, drainage, stormwater, and firefighting systems. Key Responsibilities1\. Drafting and Drawing Preparation * Prepare **detailed plumbing shop drawings** from design drawings. * Produce layouts for: * Water supply systems * Drainage and sewage systems * Stormwater systems * Hot and cold water piping * Modify drawings according to **engineer’s comments and project requirements**. * Prepare **as\-built drawings** after project completion. 2\. Coordination * Coordinate plumbing drawings with other disciplines such as: * HVAC * Electrical * Structural * Architectural * Identify and resolve **clashes between services**. 3\. Quantity and Material Support * Assist in preparing **material take\-offs** from drawings. * Support procurement team by providing **accurate pipe sizes, fittings, and equipment details**. 4\. Documentation * Maintain proper records of: * Shop drawings * Revision updates * Drawing logs * Ensure all drawings comply with **project specifications and authority requirements**. 5\. Site Support * Provide **technical drawing support to site engineers and supervisors**. * Update drawings based on **site changes or installation adjustments**. Required Skills * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** * Knowledge of plumbing systems and piping layouts * Ability to read **MEP and construction drawings** * Understanding of **local plumbing codes and standards** * Strong attention to detail and coordination skills Qualifications * Diploma or Degree in **Mechanical Engineering / Drafting / MEP** * 2–5 years of experience in **MEP drafting (preferably plumbing)** in a contracting company * Experience with construction projects such as residential, commercial, or high\-rise buildings Common Software Used * AutoCAD * Autodesk Revit (for BIM projects) * Navisworks (for clash detection) Job Type: Full\-time Pay: From AED8,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
