Job Description
**Who are we?** * **Event Connections** works in the event industry providing event registration solutions to conferences and exhibitions. * We provide high quality solutions using our event technology alongside great customer service. * We are a small company, operating for over 15 years, based in Brighton and London, offering a high\-end service to some of the world’s top brands. **General outline of role and duties:** We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to take over responsibility of day\-to\-day financial processing. This is a part time role up to 15hrs per week. We can be flexible on days and hours worked and although most work will be remote, we anticipate some face\-to\-face time each week. The role might suit someone looking to work around other priorities like childcare etc. Additional flexibility can be offered around things like school holidays. **Job role** * Invoicing clients, tracking payments and updating our systems accordingly. * Inputting bills and making payments to suppliers. * Processing payroll, running reports and scheduling payment runs. * Administer company credit cards and allocate transactions correctly. * Administer employee expenses. * Administer VAT returns and associated reporting. * Reconcile bank statements. * Liaise fully with the directors on all financial matters. * Provide support to other aspects of company life as required. **Essentials** * Minimum of 2yrs bookkeeping / accounting experience for a VAT registered company. * Experience of using QuickBooks is essential. * Detailed understanding of VAT and PAYE. * Well organised, numerate and computer literate with good experience in Excel. * Able to handle a variable workload. * Good inter\-personal and team\-working skills. **Please ensure that your CV highlights where you meet any of the above.** **Terms** * This is a flexible role and can be a mix of office / remote working. You would be expected to be in the office one day a week (although not necessarily for the whole day). * Part\-time role up to 15hrs per week – flexible around other commitments. If you fit the role and 15hrs is not the right fit for you then feel free to say. * Flexible hours during quieter periods. * Base salary of £28\-35k pro rata (37\.5hrs week FTE) depending on experience and capabilities. * 25 days’ holiday, 3 of which must be taken over Christmas plus 8 Public Holidays (all pro rata).
