**About Proximity Foundation** Proximity Foundation runs structured coding education programs for young people aged 14\-18 at Community Care Institutions (CCIs). Using a computer\-based LMS curriculum covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, we pair students with volunteer mentors in cohort\-based sessions designed to build real technical skills and lasting confidence. We are scaling from the first cohort to many cohorts within Mumbai and building the operational team that will carry this program forward. Every role in Proximity Foundation is a direct investment in the young people we serve. **Role Type : Volunteer \- In Person (ONSITE)** **Time Commitment : 2\-3 hrs/week (including travel)** **Location : On\-site at CCI, Andheri East/Thane/Dadar/ Jogeshwari, Mumbai (travel required\- expenses to be borne by the volunteer)** **Department : Program Delivery** **Reports to : Program Coordinator Lead** **ROLE FOCUS** Deliver in\-person, mentor\-led coding sessions to students aged 14\-16 at the Community Care Institution (CCI) in Andheri East/Thane/Dadar/ Jogeshwari, Mumbai. This is a hands\-on, on\-site role — you will be physically present with students, guiding them through the computer\-based LMS curriculum covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. Travel to the Mumbai CCI locations is required for each session (upto 2 hrs \- one time per week). **Key Responsibilities** * Travel to and attend in\-person sessions at the CCI, Andheri East/Thane/Dadar/ Jogeshwari, Mumbai * Deliver mentor\-led coding sessions to students aged 14\-18 using the LMS curriculum * Support student engagement, understanding, and confidence during each session * Flag student concerns or attendance issues to the Program Coordinator * Participate in mentor check\-ins and briefings (may be remote) * Coordinate with Program Coordinator Lead on scheduling and session plans * Collaborate with backup pool to ensure session continuity * Submit session notes and attendance reports after each session **What a Typical Week Looks Like** One or two in\-person sessions per week at the CCI in Andheri East/Thane/Dadar/ Jogeshwari — schedule set in advance with the Program Coordinator. You'll travel to the venue, run the session using the LMS curriculum, and submit a brief session notes report afterwards. Check\-ins with the broader mentor team happen remotely and are typically short and async. **WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS** You'll be the person in the room — the face of Proximity Foundation for these students. For many of them, this may be the first time someone has sat beside them and taught them to code.
