Key Responsibilities As a Nursing Manager, your responsibilities will include: * **Client Assessments and Care Planning:** Conduct comprehensive initial and follow\-up in\-home assessments for clients. You will develop, regularly review, and update individualized care plans in close collaboration with our dedicated caregivers and the client's family members. * **Caregiver Supervision and Development:** Supervise, train, and mentor our team of caregivers, including Personal Support Workers (PSWs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs). Your leadership will ensure the delivery of both clinically excellent and compassionate care. * **Quality Assurance and Client Satisfaction:** Monitor service quality and client satisfaction diligently, ensuring strict adherence to FirstLight Home Care Canada's high care standards and policies. * **Complex Case Management:** Provide expert oversight and direct care for complex cases, which may involve chronic illness management, medication administration, wound care, dementia care, palliative care, or post\-surgical support. * **Clinical Liaison:** Serve as the primary clinical liaison, fostering effective communication and collaboration with physicians, other healthcare providers, and family members to ensure seamless care coordination. * **Team Collaboration:** Actively participate in caregiver recruitment processes, assist with scheduling coordination, and contribute to performance appraisals, helping to build and maintain a strong care team. * **After\-Hours Support:** Manage after\-hours clinical queries, respond to client emergencies, and coordinate urgent care adjustments as needed, demonstrating your commitment to continuous support. * **Documentation and Coordination:** Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and reporting, coordinating closely with office operations to ensure efficient administrative processes. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess: * **Nursing Licensure:** Current registration as a **Registered Nurse (RN)** or **Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)**, licensed in Ontario. * **Clinical Experience:** Several years of progressive clinical experience, with a strong preference for experience in **home care** or **community nursing** settings. * **Leadership Skills:** Demonstrated **leadership**, **coaching**, and **assessment skills**, with a proven ability to guide and develop a team. * **Communication and Organization:** Exceptional **communication**, **organizational**, and **decision\-making abilities**, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. * **Mobility:** A **valid driver's license** and reliable access to a vehicle for conducting essential home visits. Job Type: Full\-time Ability to commute/relocate: * Niagara Falls, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Case management: 1 year (preferred) * Patient Assistance Program: 1 year (preferred) * Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * RPN/ RN registration with College of Nurses of Ontario (required) Work Location: In person
