Job Description
**Position Summary**
The National Sales Manager – Automotive will lead, develop, and execute Saint\-Gobain Tape Solutions’ growth strategy in the Indian automotive market. The role is responsible for driving revenue, expanding OEM and Tier\-1 penetration, building a high\-performance sales organization, and strengthening Saint Gobain’s position as a preferred partner for advanced adhesive and tape technologies in automotive applications.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Sales \& Business Development
* Own national P\&L for the automotive segment and deliver annual sales, margin, and growth targets.
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans for OEMs, Tier\-1s, and Tier\-2 suppliers across passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and two\-wheelers.
* Identify new business opportunities for adhesive tapes in NVH, bonding, gasketing, thermal management, wire harnessing, and interior/exterior applications.
* Drive opportunity pipeline creation, deal closure, and long\-term account development.
* Key Account Management
* Build and manage strategic relationships with major automotive OEMs and Tier\-1 suppliers.
* Establish annual account plans, pricing strategies, and multi\-year engagement roadmaps.
* Collaborate closely with OEM/Tier\-1 engineering and procurement teams to influence specifications and win early design\-ins.
* Team Leadership
* Lead, coach, and develop the regional automotive sales team across India.
* Build capability in consultative selling, solution positioning, and technical value demonstration.
* Set clear targets, ensure sales funnel discipline, and drive CRM adoption.
* Technical \& Cross\-Functional Collaboration
* Work with Application Engineering, Technical Service, R\&D, and Marketing to convert customer needs into product solutions.
* Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure reliable delivery, forecasting, and customer satisfaction.
* Market \& Competition Intelligence
* Monitor industry trends: lightweighting, sustainability, and new adhesive technologies.
* Track competitor activities
* Provide input for new product development and India\-specific solutions.
* Governance \& Compliance
* Ensure compliance with Saint\-Gobain policies on pricing, credit, contracts, and ethical business practices
