**National Sales Director – US Retail Expansion**
Location: US\-based (travel 30–50%)
We are partnering with a high\-growth, profitable plant\-based protein and supplements brand to hire a National Sales Director to lead US retail expansion.
This company is an established international category leader with vertically integrated manufacturing, strong margins, and a proven track record of scale. The US business is currently \~$10M\+ in annual revenue with distribution in Sprouts, HEB, Meijer, and Fresh Thyme — and significant white space ahead.
This is a true build role. The National Sales Director will own brick\-and\-mortar strategy, aggressively expand distribution (Natural channel first), and drive sell\-in, sell\-through, and retail velocity performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and execute US retail expansion strategy across Natural and Grocery channels
* Open new national and regional accounts
* Own sell\-in, promotional planning, and velocity\-driving initiatives
* Manage broker and distributor relationships
* Align retail programming with broader digital demand generation efforts
* Build the US retail function from the ground up
**Ideal Profile:**
* Proven hunter with a track record of opening national Natural accounts
* Experience calling on buyers in protein, supplements, VMS, or broader wellness categories
* Strategic retail operator — not purely transactional
* Blend of large CPG structure and entrepreneurial agility
* Comfortable operating as a one\-person show in a fast\-paced growth environment
**Compensation:**
* Base salary: $150K–$175K (flexible based on experience)
* Bonus: 25–35%\+
* Equity participation
