Our work sits at the intersection of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, data operations, and model evaluation, helping improve the reliability and effectiveness of ML, CV, and LLM systems at scale. **Role Overview** This is a data\-focused ML contract role with a strong emphasis on Computer Vision, supporting machine learning and vision\-based AI systems. The work involves reviewing, annotating, validating, and improving visual datasets, as well as conducting evaluation, error analysis, and quality assessments on CV model outputs. While a strong understanding of machine learning and computer vision is essential, this role does not involve end\-to\-end model ownership or full production deployment. Instead, you'll play a critical role in improving model performance through high\-quality visual data, structured analysis, and systematic evaluation. This position is ideal for experienced ML/CV practitioners who enjoy hands\-on, detail\-oriented work and are comfortable operating in a contract\-based, execution\-focused setup. **Key Responsibilities** * Review, annotate, and validate image and video datasets used for CV and ML model training and evaluation. * Perform detailed error analysis on computer vision model outputs to identify weaknesses, edge cases, and data gaps. * Support evaluation workflows for CV/ML outputs — including object detection, image classification, segmentation, and related tasks — using defined metrics and qualitative analysis. * Improve data quality through image labeling, bounding box annotation, segmentation masks, and consistency checks. * Collaborate with ML/CV researchers and engineers to provide structured feedback on model behavior and visual failure modes. * Help design and refine evaluation criteria, benchmarks, and testing datasets specific to computer vision tasks. * Document findings, patterns, and insights clearly for internal teams. * Contribute to continuous improvement of visual data pipelines and evaluation processes. **Required Qualifications** * 2–12\+ years of experience working with machine learning and computer vision systems. * Strong understanding of CV and ML fundamentals — model behavior, evaluation metrics, training dynamics, and visual data pipelines. * Prior experience with image/video data annotation, validation, dataset curation, or CV model evaluation. * Hands\-on experience with core CV tasks such as object detection, image classification, segmentation, or pose estimation. * Ability to critically analyze model outputs and perform structured error analysis on visual data. * Proficiency in Python and familiarity with CV/ML frameworks such as OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar. * High attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, quality\-focused work. * Experience working independently in a remote, contract\-based environment. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with vision\-language models (e.g. CLIP, LLaVA, GPT\-4V) or multimodal AI systems. * Familiarity with annotation tools such as Labelbox, Scale AI, CVAT, or Roboflow. * Background in applied CV research, QA for vision systems, or data\-centric AI. * Experience with 3D vision, depth estimation, or point cloud data is a plus. * Kaggle experience or participation in CV/ML competitions. * Experience supporting ML/CV teams without owning full model pipelines. **What You'll Find at BespokeLabs / What Makes Us Different** * Remote, flexible contract role (35–40 hours/week) * Competitive hourly compensation (USD 15–25/hour) * Opportunity to work on real\-world ML and Computer Vision systems at a VC\-backed startup * Clear scope, fast execution, and minimal bureaucracy **Our Commitment** BespokeLabs.AI is an equal opportunity employer.
