As part of our ambitious, innovative and curious team, you’ll help shape the future of investing in Sweden and beyond. **The Role** As Legal Counsel at SAVR, you’ll play a central role in our governance and risk management. You’ll work independently with complex legal and regulatory matters and act as a trusted advisor to both leadership and the business. The role requires high integrity, strong ownership, and the ability to make sound judgments where regulation, risk, and commercial considerations meet. You’ll have a clear specialist focus within data protection and digital resilience, owning your area end\-to\-end \- from analysis and structure to implementation and follow\-up. At the same time, as part of a small and close\-knit legal function, you’ll also contribute more broadly when needed. We help each other out, work pragmatically, and stay close to the business, collaborating especially with colleagues in Tech and Product. **Your Mission** * Own and drive SAVR’s work within data protection and digital resilience, including structure, priorities, and follow\-up * Ensure policies, processes, and controls are fit for purpose, and continuously assess the need for updates as the business and external requirements evolve * Make independent legal and regulatory assessments related to privacy, ICT services, and third\-party risk \- and provide clear, practical guidance to the organization * Monitor and interpret regulatory developments (particularly within data protection and information security) and translate requirements into proportionate, workable solutions * Act as a legal advisor to relevant stakeholders, supporting risk\-aware, commercially sound, and sustainable decisions * Contribute, when needed, to other legal matters within the team’s scope and support colleagues and the business through close, pragmatic collaboration **You’ll Thrive in This Role If You...** * Hold a law degree and have several years of experience in qualified legal work, ideally involving cross\-functional collaboration * Have experience in data protection and/or tech\-adjacent legal matters in a business\-oriented context * Have a solid understanding of working in a regulated environment * Are a confident and self\-driven lawyer with strong professional integrity * Enjoy working independently, making your own assessments, and standing by them in complex situations * Are comfortable taking real responsibility rather than working under detailed instructions * Are collaborative and prestige\-less, while being clear and grounded in your role * Thrive in an environment where you have a clear area of expertise but are also expected to contribute broadly when needed * Appreciate working in a small, high\-tempo team with a close connection to the business * You are fluent (spoken and written) in Swedish and English **Our Cultural DNA** At SAVR, we’re: 🧠 **Open\-minded** – we embrace new ideas, diverse perspectives, and continuous learning 🚀 **Bold** – we take smart risks, move fast, and aren’t afraid to fail forward 🤝 **Honest** – we value transparency, feedback, and doing the right thing We’re a startup, so things can be a little messy — and that’s part of the thrill.
