This is a high\-impact commercial legal role with wide\-ranging responsibility across contractual, operational, regulatory, and strategic matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business on a broad range of complex commercial agreements, helping to drive business initiatives while managing legal and commercial risk in a pragmatic, solutions\-focused way. This is not a purely process\-driven contracts role. It requires someone who is confident operating in a fast\-paced, non\-standard environment, with strong judgement and the ability to work closely with cross\-functional teams. There is also a strong progression opportunity for the right individual as the legal function continues to evolve and grow. **Responsibilities** * Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of complex commercial contracts * Partner closely with commercial, sales, operational, and business teams to support strategic initiatives and growth * Advise on a broad range of commercial partnerships and business arrangements * Support property and location\-related contractual matters where relevant * Identify legal and commercial risk while helping stakeholders achieve practical business outcomes * Assist with business transformation and integration\-related legal work * Advise on a range of operational and day\-to\-day legal matters * Support on consumer\-facing issues, including customer terms, complaints, marketing, and digital/customer experience matters * Provide advice on regulatory and compliance issues, including data protection and consumer law * Work with internal teams on claims, disputes, and service\-related legal matters * Contribute to legal process improvement, contract governance, and scalable legal frameworks * Act as a trusted, commercially minded advisor across the business **Qualifications** * Qualified lawyer with strong private practice and/or in\-house training * Ideally 4–5 years’ PQE, although candidates outside this range may still be considered depending on experience **Required Skills** * Strong background in commercial contracts, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements * Excellent technical drafting skills and strong attention to detail * Commercially astute, with the ability to balance risk with business objectives * Comfortable operating in a fast\-paced, high\-growth environment * Experience partnering with sales, commercial, and operational stakeholders * Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills * Proactive, adaptable, and solutions\-oriented approach **Preferred Skills** * Experience in sectors such as retail, FMCG, e\-commerce, logistics, telecommunications, technology, or fintech would be advantageous **Pay range and compensation package** Join a business at a particularly exciting stage of growth and transformation.
