Legal Counsel

**Position:** Legal Counsel (Remote) **Salary:** INR 40,000 per month **About the Company** Our client is an innovative startup building a professional networking platform. The company is focused on redefining how professionals connect, collaborate, and grow in a digital\-first ecosystem. **Role Overview** We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support the company across employment law, regulatory compliance, and general corporate legal matters. This is a remote role, ideal for a proactive legal professional comfortable working in a fast\-paced startup environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide expert advice on labor and employment laws (India \+ international exposure preferred) * Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and HR frameworks * Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, data protection regulations, and platform\-related legal requirements * Advise on employee disputes, disciplinary actions, and terminations * Support leadership on risk mitigation and compliance strategy * Draft and review vendor agreements, NDAs, and commercial contracts * Work closely with HR and leadership to align legal frameworks with business goals * Monitor evolving legal regulations impacting tech platforms and employment practices **Key Requirements** * LLB / LLM from a recognized institution * 5–10\+ years of experience in employment/labor law and corporate legal advisory * Strong understanding of Indian labor laws (experience with global jurisdictions is a plus) * Prior experience with startups, tech platforms, or digital businesses preferred * Ability to work independently in a remote setup * Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
