Freshslice Pizza, headquartered in Burnaby, BC, is seeking an experienced In\-House Litigation Lawyer to work on litigation matters with a focus on franchise disputes. **The ideal candidate will have 1\+ years of litigation and Supreme Court trial experience.** **Responsibilities:** * Manage a range of litigation files from start to finish, including pleadings, interlocutory applications, discoveries, and trial preparation. * Take primary responsibility for drafting and reviewing key litigation materials, including Notices of Civil Claim, Responses, Lists of Documents, and chambers application materials. * Assist with and, where appropriate, appear on contested chambers applications, and contribute to overall litigation strategy. * Work on disputes arising from franchise relationships and general commercial matters. * Provide practical, business\-focused legal advice to internal teams, with a view to managing risk while supporting operational needs. * Work closely with different departments across the business to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company objectives. * Keep up to date with developments in civil procedure, franchise law, and related regulatory frameworks, and apply that knowledge in day\-to\-day work. **Requirements:** * 1\+ years of civil litigation experience * Experience before the Supreme Court of British Columbia * Strong, hands\-on experience drafting core litigation materials (NCCs, LODs, applications) * Exposure to contested chambers applications and/or trials * Ability to manage files independently and take ownership * Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast\-paced environment The estimated salary for this position is $80,000\- $120,000\. In determining final salary, Freshslice considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
