Your Role As a Legal Counsel in our team, you’ll: * Support the implementation of banking secrecy and data protection laws across 13 APAC jurisdictions * Advise on cross\-border data sharing, data breach notifications, and data privacy documentation * Work closely with colleagues in Legal and other control functions, including the Data Protection Office * Stay up to date on regulatory developments and help guide UBS’s approach to data protection **Job Type** Full Time **Job Reference \#** 332090BR **City** Mumbai, Pune **Your team** You’ll be part of the APAC Data Legal team within our Global Data Legal function. You’ll have the chance to learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to UBS’s global standards for data protection and client confidentiality. **Your expertise** We’re looking for someone who is: * A qualified lawyer, ideally with some experience or a strong interest in data protection or technology law (we’ll help you build your expertise!) * Detail\-oriented and analytical, with good project management skills * Able to assess legal risks and provide practical, solution\-focused advice * A clear communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge with others * Experienced in\-house (especially in financial services or technology) or from a reputable law firm is a plus, but not required * Commercially minded, with sound judgment and a “can do” attitude * Ready to take ownership, build relationships, and work independently when needed **About Us** UBS is a leading and truly global wealth manager and the leading universal bank in Switzerland.
