Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a growing infrastructure building services business.
This is a varied, split site/office role that sits at the heart of our operations. If you understand highway and drainage adoption processes and want a role where your work genuinely moves the needle, this is it.
**The Role**
You'll be responsible for managing projects through from initial site inspection right through to adoption certification, working closely with local authorities, water companies, sub\-contractors, and residents along the way.
**Day\-to\-day responsibilities include:**
* Completing site inspections with the adopting authority
* Compiling reports and submitting required adoption documentation
* Studying specialist drainage survey footage
* Seeking quotations from and managing sub\-contractors
* On\-site supervision of Stage 3 works
* Implementing resident liaison programmes
* Obtaining on\-site sign\-off from LA / WC inspectors
* Chasing adoption certification from the relevant authorities
* Providing progress updates and flagging site issues to the Operations Manager
**What We're Looking For**
* Background in the house building industry
* Understanding of basic civil engineering principles
* Working knowledge of Section 38 \& 278 (Highways Act) and Section 104 (Water Industry Act) agreements
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* AutoCAD skills advantageous but not essential
* Ability to manage and deliver projects on time and within budget
* Strong communicator who can build relationships across a diverse range of people
