Junior Data Scientist Intern – Growth (120-Day Sprint)

We’ve launched in the UK and Sweden, grown to 6,000\+ users in just a few months, and are now entering an intense  **120\-day growth sprint** . This is about proving scalable unit economics ahead of a larger funding round this summer. We’re looking for a  **Junior Data Scientist (Intern)**  to help build the intelligence layer that drives this next phase. This is not a passive internship. You will work directly with the founders and growth team on real metrics, real experiments, and real decisions. **What you will do** You will own and help build the data backbone of the company: Growth \& KPI * Define, track and evolve core metrics: * CAC * DAU / WAU / MAU * Conversion (free → premium) * Retention / churn * Premium intent rate * LTV and LTV/CAC * Analyse acquisition performance by channel (Meta, Google, TikTok etc.) Funnel \& behaviour analysis * Map the full  **path to conversion** * **Identify what drives:** * **Activation** * Retention * High engagement * Segment users: * Paid vs free * High vs low value * Behavioural cohorts Experimentation \& optimisation * Work with product and marketing on A/B tests * Design experiments, ensure statistical validity, and analyse results * Suggest improvements to conversion, retention and revenue Attribution \& marketing intelligence * Own attribution analysis across paid channels * Track CAC, CPC and conversion quality by source * Explore attribution models (first\-touch, last\-touch, multi\-touch over time) Data infrastructure * Build and maintain data pipelines (Python, SQL or similar) * Ensure clean event tracking and reliable datasets * Create dashboards and automated reporting Projects during the sprint * Funnel deep dives * Cohort and retention analysis * Pricing and conversion experiments * Investor and founder reporting **Who you are** * Curious about  **user behaviour, growth loops and business models** * **Comfortable working with messy, real\-world data** * **Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail** * **Hands\-on with Python, SQL or similar tools** * **Interested in startups, fintech or building products from scratch** Bonus: * Experience with analytics tools (GA, Mixpanel, Amplitude etc.) * Exposure to growth, marketing or product analytics **What you get** * Work directly with experienced founders and operators * Be part of a  **high\-intensity startup sprint with clear goals** * **Real ownership from day one** * **A front\-row seat to scaling a fintech company** * **Strong potential for full\-time role in summer/autumn** **Practical details** * Start: Immediate * Duration: \~120 days * Location: Flexible (UK / Sweden) **Apply** Send a short note \+ CV (and any relevant projects) to: * **anders@powerfunds.co.uk**
