Job Description
**Job Summary**
Tiger Foods India is looking for a motivated
**Junior Civil Engineer**
to oversee and maintain our manufacturing infrastructure and expansion projects. Unlike a typical construction role, you will be the backbone of our facility’s structural integrity, ensuring our production environments meet the highest food safety and industrial standards. You will support senior management in facility planning, warehouse optimization, and coordinating with contractors for plant upgrades. This is a high\-impact role for a fresher or early\-career professional looking to specialize in
**Industrial Engineering and FMCG Infrastructure.**
**Key Responsibilities**
* **Industrial Layouts:**
Assist in designing and modifying factory floor plans and warehouse layouts to optimize material flow using
**AutoCAD**
.
* **Plant Maintenance:**
Oversee routine civil maintenance of the production facility, including epoxy flooring, drainage systems, and roof leakages to prevent contamination.
* **Regulatory Compliance:**
Ensure all structures comply with
**FSSAI facility requirements**
, pollution control board norms (ETP/STP maintenance), and local building codes.
* **Vendor Management:**
Support the procurement team in BOQ (Bill of Quantities) analysis and supervise third\-party contractors during new plant installations or renovations.
* **Safety \& Hygiene:**
Monitor on\-site construction to ensure "Food Safety First" protocols are followed (dust control, pest\-proofing structures, and non\-toxic material usage).
* **Sustainability:**
Assist in implementing "Green Factory" initiatives, such as rainwater harvesting and solar panel structural supports.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
* **Education:**
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
* **Experience:**
0–2 years. Freshers who have done internships in
**industrial construction or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)**
are highly preferred.
* **Software:**
Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of MS Project for scheduling is a plus.
* **Language:**
Fluency in
**Tamil and English**
is essential for communicating with local labor and reporting to management.
* **Industry Mindset:**
A basic understanding of
**HACCP or ISO standards**
regarding building infrastructure is a significant advantage.
