We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our Stoney Creek team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of experts, contribute to technically challenging and meaningful projects, and grow your career in a supportive, development‑focused environment.
What You Will Do
You will work on a wide range of engineering activities, including:
* Designing and analyzing structures such as bridges, marine structures, and heavy civil works.
* Preparing construction, demolition, and erection engineering designs, including temporary works.
* Evaluating design options and contributing to innovative engineering solutions.
* Preparing detailed designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
* Developing cost estimates and technical reports.
* Conducting site visits, inspections, and participating in project meetings.
* Assisting with project planning and proposal development.
* Coordinating with drafting teams to bring designs to life.
* Managing project tasks, deliverables, and timelines.
* Supporting senior staff with client development and business growth initiatives.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone with strong technical ability and a collaborative mindset:
* Registered, or eligible for registration, as a P.Eng. or EIT in Canada.
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree is an asset.
* Strong foundation in structural design and analysis.
* Familiarity with Canadian design standards such as CSA S6, CSA A23\.3, and the CHBDC.
* Experience with structural analysis and finite element modeling software.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
* A motivated, proactive approach to project work and professional development.
