TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Toronto\-based manufacturing client, is seeking an experienced
**Human Resources Manager**
to lead the HR function for a
**Maternity leave contract**
.
**Position Overview:**
As the HR Manager, you will have ownership of the Human Resources function, partnering closely with the General Manager to support operational goals and workforce stability. You will bring structure, consistency, and accountability to all areas of HR — from employee relations and compliance to talent development and workforce planning.
This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is confident operating independently, comfortable advising leadership on complex people matters, and capable of balancing strategic priorities with the day\-to\-day realities of a production environment. This is an on\-site position requiring visibility, presence, and strong relationship\-building across the organization.

Your Day to Day will include:
· Leading the overall HR strategy and aligning people initiatives with business objectives.
· Advising senior leadership on employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational development.
· Overseeing and mentoring HR support staff.
· Acting as a trusted advisor to managers on complex employee relations matters.
· Designing and executing talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
· Overseeing onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
· Ensuring compliance with employment standards, health and safety legislation, and company policies.
· Managing compensation structures, benefits administration, and payroll oversight.
· Leading performance management programs and talent development processes.
· Driving employee engagement initiatives and strengthening workplace culture.
· Developing HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support organizational growth.
· Overseeing WSIB claims management and return\-to\-work programs.
You’ll be a great fit if you possess:
· 7\+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
· A bachelor’s degree (CHRP or CHRL designation strongly preferred).
· Demonstrated experience developing HR strategy and advising senior leadership.
· Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and employment legislation.
· Experience leading recruitment strategy and workforce planning initiatives.
· Familiarity with payroll oversight and HRIS systems.
· Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational and strategic priorities.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship\-building skills.
· A confident, solutions\-oriented approach with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
