**The Opportunity:**
The
**Human Resources Generalist**
is responsible for developing and executing personnel procedures and policies and providing guidance and interpretation for business operations in Canada. This position plays a critical role in providing support and partnership to the business to ensure multi\-province compliance.
**A Glimpse Into Your Day:**
* Ensure legal compliance of province and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
* Support human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
* Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action and best practices
* Participate in creation, evolution and delivery of training programs and materials which have high clarity and impact
* Provide day\-to\-day performance management guidance to front line leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions)
* Partner with various stakeholders and departments to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement and new initiatives
* Maintain in\-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day\-to\-day management of employees while reducing legal risks; partner with internal and/or external legal counsel as required
* Prepare and complete reports and communications as needed in compliance with provincial and federal requirements
* Assist with various HR\-related projects
* Perform other duties as assigned
**Who You Are:**
* Bachelor's degree
* Minimum three (3\) years proven HR Experience
* Knowledge/understanding of employment legislation and best practices (as appropriate by provinces)\-Occupational Health \& Safety Act, Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Act
* Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment
* Natural interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives with overlapping tasks
* Resourceful, problem\-solving aptitude
* Bi\-lingual in English and French (preferred)
* Experience in employment services, outsourcing and/or staffing (preferred)
