Job Description
**Job Summary:** The Head of HR is responsible for overseeing the day\-to\-day HR department of an organization, ensuring the smooth execution of HR policies, processes and systems. This role involves managing at a senior level and optimizing HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, employee records, the employee appraisals, employee performance management and disciplinary and HR technology systems. The Head of HR works closely with other HR teams to improve operational efficiency, implement HR policies, and support the strategic goals of the HR department as well as being a bridge between the business and the SLT. Requirements **Key Responsibilities:** · **Head of Department:** As head of the HR Department, the Head of HR is responsible for liaising directly with the Head of Strategy \& Performance Delivery Division and all other members of the Executive SLT within RVS iGlobal. Managing all aspects of the HR Division to be the conduit between treating employees fairly and protecting the business in line with the laws and regulations of India. · **HR Process Management** : Oversee the execution of key HR functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management systems. Ensure HR processes are streamlined and efficient. · **Policy Implementation** : Ensure that HR policies and procedures are up to date and comply with legal regulations and company standards. Implement these policies effectively across the organization. Keep update with legislation changes and advice to the business of new policies need to support a growing workforce and business. · **Employee Appraisals and Performance Management:** Ensure the implementation and compliance of the employee 1\-2\-1s (monthly check\-ins) and annual appraisals working directly with all team leaders and people managers in the business. Where required, the Head of HR will ensure that any employee underperformance or behavioural issues are monitored through a robust Performance Manager process and PIP (Performance Improvement Plans). · **Employee Records Management** : Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personal information, job history, performance evaluations, and compensation details. · **HR Technology Oversight** : Manage and optimize HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring accurate data management, reporting capabilities, and seamless integration with other organizational systems. · **Payroll and Benefits Administration** : Oversee payroll and benefits processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. · **Compliance and Reporting** : Ensure HR operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to labour laws, tax requirements, and employee benefits. Prepare reports for senior leadership or regulatory bodies as needed. · **Employee Lifecycle Management** : Coordinate the end\-to\-end employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to exit, ensuring processes such as hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations are executed correctly and consistently. · **Employee Relations** : Address employee inquiries or concerns related to HR operations, including benefits, payroll discrepancies, or HR policies. Serve as a point of contact for HR\-related issues. · **Training and Development** : Support the HR team in developing and delivering training programs that improve the efficiency of HR operations and enhance employee experience. · **Continuous Improvement** : Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and lead initiatives to increase operational efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and reduce administrative burden. · **Team Management** : Supervise HR operations staff, provide leadership, training, and professional development opportunities, and ensure performance targets are met. **Essential Skills and Qualifications:** * **HR Systems \& Technology** : Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Keka, Zoho) and other HR tools for data management, payroll, and benefits administration. * **Payroll \& Benefits Knowledge** : In\-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax laws, and benefits administration. * **Compliance \& Legal Expertise** : Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including labor law compliance, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety regulations. The ability to recommend changes to policies and implement them into the business. * **Data Analysis \& Reporting** : Strong analytical skills to assess HR metrics, prepare reports, and make data\-driven decisions. * **Problem Solving** : Ability to resolve complex employee issues and streamline HR processes to improve efficiency. * **Project Management** : Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. * **Communication \& Interpersonal Skills** : Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and external partners. * **Attention to Detail** : Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll, employee records, and compliance documentation **Desirable Qualifications:** * A degree in **Human Resources** , **Business Administration** , **Management** , or a related field. * Certification such as **SHRM\-CP** , **PHR** , **SPHR** , or other relevant HR certifications are preferred. * 5\+ years of experience in HR operations or a similar HR role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity. * Experience with HR software and systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits management tools).
