Job Description
Set against one of Canada’s most breathtaking natural backdrops, this boutique hotel offers a rare opportunity to lead a highly curated hospitality experience in the heart of the Rockies. With fewer than 100 rooms, three distinct food \& beverage outlets, and an intimate meeting and event space, this property blends elevated guest experiences with a strong sense of place and independence. This is a role for a hands\-on, entrepreneurial leader who thrives outside of large corporate structures—someone who understands how to balance operational excellence with personality, storytelling, and local connection. Reporting directly to ownership, the General Manager will act as both operator and steward of the guest experience, driving performance while preserving the character and individuality of the property. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including rooms, food \& beverage, and events, with a strong focus on delivering memorable, high\-touch guest experiences. This role requires a visible, on\-the\-floor leader who can inspire teams, engage with guests, and confidently represent the property within the local community.
**Description**
* Lead all day\-to\-day operations across rooms, three F\&B outlets, and meeting/event spaces
* Deliver a consistently elevated guest experience aligned with the property’s boutique positioning
* Act as the primary liaison with ownership, providing clear reporting on performance, opportunities, and strategic direction
* Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and revenue optimization
* Build, mentor, and retain a high\-performing team with a strong service culture
* Establish the hotel as a destination within the region through community engagement and local partnerships
* Oversee sales and marketing efforts, particularly for group, leisure, and event business
* Ensure operational agility—adapting quickly to seasonal demand and market shifts
**Requirements**
* Previous General Manager experience within a boutique hotel, independent property, or lifestyle\-driven hospitality environment
* Demonstrated experience reporting directly to ownership or private stakeholders
* Strong preference for leaders who have operated outside of heavily branded or corporate hotel structures
* Proven ability to lead multi\-department operations, including food \& beverage and events
* Financially astute with a strong understanding of P\&L management and cost controls
* A visible, people\-first leader who thrives on the floor and builds strong team culture
* Passion for destination hospitality, with an appreciation for the unique demands of a Rockies\-based property
**Corporate Culture**
* Lead a distinctive, boutique property with character and independence
* Direct access to ownership and the ability to influence strategy and direction
* A dynamic, multi\-revenue\-stream operation (rooms, F\&B, events)
* Opportunity to shape guest experience in a high\-impact, hands\-on leadership role
* Live and work in one of Canada’s most iconic and scenic regions
