Job Description
Head of Commercial Growth **Salary:** £65,000 \- £80,000 \+ Bonus \+ Benefits **Location:** Wirral (UK\-wide travel) **Overview** Willcox Matthews are exclusively retained by a well\-established, healthcare technology manufacturer as they look to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a Head of Commercial Growth. The business delivers clinical technology solutions into hospitals, supporting frontline staff with tools that improve efficiency, workflow and patient care \- including mobile workstations, mounting systems and point\-of\-care IT solutions. This is a key, high\-priority hire and a critical appointment for the next phase of the company’s growth. This role sits between a hands\-on sales leader and a strategic commercial driver \- ideal for someone stepping up from Sales Manager/Senior Sales Manager level or already operating at National level. **The Opportunity:** The company has a strong reputation, established NHS relationships, and a credible product portfolio. The next phase of growth requires: * Greater consistency in sales execution * Improved pipeline quality and forecasting * Stronger leadership and coaching across the sales team * A more structured and disciplined commercial approach **Key Responsibilities:** Sales Leadership \& Performance * Drive revenue growth across NHS and private healthcare accounts * Lead from the front in key accounts and strategic opportunities * Improve pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy and deal conversion Team Development * Coach, mentor and develop a team of sales professionals * Support the progression of high\-potential individuals * Build a high\-performance, accountable sales culture Commercial Execution * Implement structured sales processes and cadence * Improve pricing discipline and margin performance * Ensure consistency in approach across regions Customer \& Market Engagement * Build strong relationships with clinicians, procurement and stakeholders * Support product positioning and market development * Identify new business opportunities and growth areas **What Success Looks Like:** * Increased adoption of solutions across NHS and private healthcare customers * Improved pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy * Stronger sales team capability and consistency * Growth in both new business and existing accounts **Candidate Profile:** * Proven track record in healthcare, MedTech, or healthcare IT sales * Experience managing or mentoring sales teams * Strong understanding of NHS structures, procurement and stakeholder engagement * Ability to sell solutions (not just products) into complex environments * Comfortable engaging with clinicians, procurement and operational stakeholders * Likely background: Regional Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager or National Sales Manager **Why Apply?** * Opportunity to step into a visible, high\-impact leadership role * Join a business with strong foundations and clear growth plans * Genuine ability to shape the sales function and team
