Head of Engineering – AI Platform \| Relocation to Dubai About the Role We are hiring a Head of Engineering to lead a team building **production\-grade AI products** that are transforming the financial sector. You will work at the intersection of **AI, data platforms, and scalable software systems** , leading talented engineers while remaining close to the technical architecture and product delivery. Experience building platforms from scratch / Where AI \& Data is core \- Similar industry (Satellite, Drones etc) **10\+ years of progressive technical experience** , evolving from hands\-on software/AI/platform engineering into roles such as Principal Engineer, Tech Lead, Solutions Architect, or Engineering Manager/Director. **Highly technical and hands\-on** , still actively coding, reviewing merge requests, and engaging in deep technical discussions. **5\+ years of leadership experience** , managing and scaling diverse engineering teams of **25\+ individual contributors** . **3\+ years building commercial products/platforms** in **geospatial, remote sensing, Earth observation, or image analytics** . Experience in **climate, nature, or agri\-tech** is a strong plus. **3\+ years building AI/ML\-driven products** where data science is core to the platform (not experimental or add\-on features). **3\+ years in fast\-paced startup environments** , comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and shipping real products. **Not suited for candidates with purely enterprise B2B SaaS, research\-only, or internal tooling backgrounds.** Responsibilities * Lead and mentor a team of software engineers * Drive delivery of **AI\-powered and data\-driven applications** * Work closely with product and data teams to build scalable systems * Contribute to architecture and technical strategy * Ensure high standards in performance, reliability, and engineering quality Requirements * Experience **leading software engineering teams** * Background building **AI or data\-driven products** * Strong development experience with: * **Python or Java** , OR * **JavaScript / TypeScript** * Experience in **fintech, banking, or financial services** is highly desirable * Strong experience working in **modern cloud environments** What’s Offered * Competitive salary and benefits * **Full relocation package to Dubai (including family support)** * Opportunity to build AI products with real\-world impact * Work with a highly talented global engineering team
