Job Description
We're working with an award\-winning British tech consultancy at the forefront of defense and hardware integration on this exciting opportunity.
This is a launchpad for high\-achieving STEM graduates to tackle complex, real\-world challenges using advanced Software Engineering and Hardware Integration. You’ll be working on high\-impact projects that require deep problem\-solving, utilizing technologies across C\+\+, FPGA development, and Signal Processing within a high\-performance R\&D environment.
**The Role**
* Collaborate on the full lifecycle of cutting\-edge customer projects, from initial concept to hardware\-software integration.
* Develop robust applications using C, C\+\+, or Java, focusing on performance and reliability in complex environments.
* Engage in R\&D learning sessions and on\-the\-job training to master RF system design and high\-speed digital electronics.
* Work closely with senior mentors to implement VHDL for FPGAs and design advanced signal processing algorithms.
* Contibute to PCB schematic capture and layout, bridging the gap between theoretical physics and functional hardware.
**What You'll Need**
* A First\-Class Degree or PhD in a highly numerate subject (Physics, Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science) from a Russell Group university.
* Exceptional A\-Level results (predominantly A\* grades) in Mathematics and Physics.
* Exposure to or a strong interest in low\-level programming (C/C\+\+) or hardware description languages like VHDL/Verilog.
* A natural aptitude for mathematical modeling, algorithm design, or analogue/digital circuit implementation.
* Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (British National or meet SC criteria) is essential for these high\-security projects.
**What's On Offer**
* Highly competitive starting salary of £35,000 \- £45,000 with regular performance\-based reviews.
* Comprehensive structured mentorship program and dedicated R\&D time to explore emerging technologies.
* Opportunity to work on mission\-critical technology that impacts national infrastructure and defense.
* A collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment with a clear pathway to Senior Engineer and Architect roles.
