GENERAL MANAGER (SHIP MANAGEMENT)

**Responsibilities** * To help ship officers plan and manage better, thus improving ships performance, and to be of help in meeting the objective set by the commercial and operation department. * To arrange repairs at most competitive rates and to carry out work in a systematic manner and without overlooking items * Budgets estimation for repair \& maintenance. * Overseeing technical operations, drydocking and procurement of ship stores/spares. **Qualifications** * Candidate must possess Certificate of Competency Class 1 (Motor). * Minimum 3 years sailing experience in the rank of Chief Engineer on Tanker / Bulker on Foreign Going (FG) vessels during last 10 years. * Preference may be given to a candidate having: * Shore based experience in Ship Management overseeing technical operations, drydocking and procurement of ship stores/spares. * Experience of handling Fleet \& Crew management. * Experience of managing technical budgets. * Thorough understanding of safety, environmental, and operational regulations. * Ability to effectively manage multiple vessels and priorities simultaneously. * Demonstrates strong knowledge of dry\-docking procedures, and technical operations. * Experience of contract writing and contract management. * Working knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management system, PPRA \& ERP.
