**General Manager (Pre\-Opening) — IvyCut Williamsburg** **The Role** IvyCut is a first\-of\-its\-kind premium pickleball and social club set to open in Williamsburg, Brooklyn — a new kind of social space where sport, F\&B and genuine human connection share the same roof. This is a pre\-opening full\-time position. This role is centered on building the founding team, shaping the service culture and standing up every operational system before doors open. The General Manager will lead all pre\-opening operations including staff recruitment, hiring, training, vendor relationships, systems buildout and service development across F\&B, court operations, event programming and front\-of\-house. Post\-opening, the General Manager will oversee day\-to\-day operations, ensuring exceptional member and guest experiences while leading and motivating the team. The General Manager will also partner on marketing strategy and community programming while fostering meaningful relationships across the team and membership to establish IvyCut as a destination experience in New York. **Main Duties** * Lead all pre\-opening operations: recruit and hire the founding team, develop training programs, build service standards and operational systems across every department * Oversee day\-to\-day operations post\-launch across F\&B, court operations, front\-of\-house and event programming * Shape the member experience from scratch — define the service identity, rituals and touchpoints that make IvyCut feel like nothing else in New York * Conceive, plan and execute signature programming — league nights, seasonal events, member socials, corporate activations, community partnerships — that give people a reason to come back and bring someone new * Assess the business on a weekly/daily basis and provide reporting on the operational and economic health of the club that drives action plans to optimize profit and elevate the member, guest and staff experience * Guide, develop and implement policies, procedures and systems designed to scale as IvyCut grows beyond its first location * Adhere to all company policies for site safety, food safety, allergy procedure and follow all local, government and regional compliance and legal standards * Partner across Membership, Marketing, F\&B and Finance functions to align on strategy and execution * Maintain brand guidelines and instill IvyCut's values in every team member and member interaction * Compliance with all permits and regulations, including conditional use permits **Required Skills/Qualifications** * At least 3–5\+ years managing high\-volume Food and Beverage (F\&B), hospitality or multi\-unit operations * Pre\-opening experience or a track record of building or significantly transforming an operation — not just maintaining one * Operational and managerial skills including team leadership, staff recruitment, training and scheduling * Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations with an eye for quality and consistency * Understand and enforce local and government regulated food safety, risk prevention, fire prevention, labor laws and emergency procedures * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and resolve conflicts * A creative thinker who sees programming and experience design as core to the operation, not an afterthought * Thrives in high\-energy environments where priorities shift and resourcefulness matters * Experience in elevated hospitality and a passion for community\-driven social experiences is preferred **Why Work with Us** IvyCut is building something that doesn't exist yet.
