General Manager

Our client is a growing, Vancouver based, boutique hospitality group behind a collection of thoughtfully designed restaurants known for their elevated yet approachable dining experiences. With a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and design\-forward concepts, the group is continuing to expand, with a new restaurant opening in Vancouver planned for 2026\. To support this growth, they are seeking a General Manager to lead this new opening from launch through ongoing operations. This is a highly visible, hands\-on leadership role responsible for overall business performance, team development, and delivering an exceptional guest experience from day one. As the senior on\-site leader, the successful candidate will play a key role in bringing the concept to life: building the team, establishing systems, and setting the tone for service and culture. Post\-opening, you will balance operational execution with strategic oversight, driving financial results while maintaining a strong, service\-driven environment. **What You'll Do:** * Lead, coach, and develop a high\-performing front\-of\-house team * Drive revenue while managing labour, food, and beverage costs * Maintain full P\&L accountability and analyze business performance * Ensure operational consistency across all service periods * Partner closely with culinary leadership to align front and back of house * Oversee scheduling, inventory, vendor relationships, and service execution * Act as a brand ambassador within the local community **What You Bring:** * 5–7\+ years of leadership experience in upscale or chef\-driven restaurants * Proven success managing financial performance and team development * Strong operational discipline with a hands\-on leadership style * Calm, confident decision\-making in fast\-paced environments * A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences **Why This Role:** This is a leadership role with real ownership \- of the guest experience, the team, and the business.
