Job Description
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Leadership and Team Management:**
· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of fit\-out professionals, carpenters, and subcontractors.
· Ensure clear communication and coordination between departments, including design, carpentry, procurement, and logistics.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs.
**Project Management:**
· Oversee multiple fit\-out projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
· Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for both large and small\-scale fit\-outs.
· Coordinate with designers and architects to interpret and execute fit\-out and carpentry designs accurately.
· Ensure that all materials, labor, and equipment are efficiently managed and available to avoid project delays.
**Carpentry and Technical Expertise:**
· Provide specialized knowledge in carpentry, including bespoke woodwork, joinery, cabinetry, and finishing techniques.
· Supervise and evaluate carpentry work, ensuring quality standards and precision in all deliverables.
· Troubleshoot technical issues and advise on materials, tools, and methods to improve work efficiency and quality.
**Client Relations and Business Development:**
· Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and addressing client needs.
· Identify business opportunities and new projects, and contribute to growth strategies.
· Prepare bids, negotiate contracts, and finalize project pricing with clients.
**Quality Control and Compliance:**
· Enforce strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
· Ensure all team members and subcontractors comply with company policies and safety protocols.
· Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any quality or compliance issues.
**Budgeting and Financial Management:**
· Oversee project budgets, including material procurement, labor costs, and equipment rentals.
· Approve expenses and track project spending to stay within budget.
· Generate financial reports, forecasts, and updates for senior management.
**Inventory and Resource Management:**
· Manage inventory levels for carpentry and fit\-out materials, ensuring timely ordering and stock availability.
· Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts for cost\-effective materials and equipment.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Carpentry, or related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in the fit\-out industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
* Proven expertise in carpentry and woodworking, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
* Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
