**Job Description for General Manager Lahore**
**Role Overview**
Atheneum is seeking a General Manager to lead its Lahore office and support the continued development of one of the company’s most important global delivery hubs.
The Lahore office plays a central role in Atheneum’s expert network platform, supporting client teams around the world in identifying, engaging, and coordinating leading industry experts to inform critical business and investment decisions.
The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, strengthening performance management, and supporting the professional development of the local team while maintaining strong alignment with Atheneum’s global operating model and client delivery standards.
This leader will play a central role in reinforcing a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ethical conduct while ensuring the Lahore office consistently delivers high\-quality expert sourcing, research support, and project execution to colleagues and clients around the world.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Operational and Financial Leadership**
* Oversee the day\-to\-day operations of the Lahore office, one of Atheneum’s core global delivery centers.
* Ensure productivity, quality, speed, and service levels meet global expectations for expert sourcing, research support, and project execution.
* Maintain strong operational discipline around project timelines, expert outreach, and client delivery responsiveness.
* Financial ownership of the local budget, cost efficiency metrics, and other relevant office and vendor contracts.
**Expert Network Delivery**
* Support the performance of teams responsible for identifying, recruiting, and engaging industry experts across a wide range of sectors and geographies.
* Ensure consistent execution of Atheneum’s expert engagement processes, including expert screening, outreach strategies, and coordination of client interactions.
* Monitor key delivery metrics such as project turnaround time, expert engagement success rates, and quality of client support.
**People Leadership**
* Lead, develop, and support managers and lead associates across the Lahore office, ensuring consistent standards of performance, accountability, and professionalism
* Partner closely with the People function to drive adoption of performance management, development, and talent frameworks, ensuring consistent execution across teams
* Reinforce a culture of manager\-led coaching and feedback, enabling teams to operate at a high level of productivity and engagement
* Identify and develop future leaders, building a strong and sustainable leadership pipeline within the office
* Act as the on\-the\-ground driver of the people experience, ensuring alignment between global People strategies and local execution
**Culture, Compliance and Regulatory**
* Reinforce company policies, compliance standards, and ethical guidelines governing expert engagements and client interactions.
* Ensure adherence to Atheneum’s strict compliance framework regarding confidential information and expert participation.
* Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.
**Global Integration**
* Partner closely with leadership in New York, London, Berlin, Santiago, Shanghai, and other offices to support global project delivery.
* Ensure strong connectivity with global client teams and seamless collaboration across geographies and time zones.
**Performance and Process**
* Improve operational discipline and productivity metrics across expert sourcing and research teams.
* Support initiatives related to role clarity, training, technology adoption, and incentive alignment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of Atheneum’s global delivery model.
**Risk and Business Continuity Planning**
* Own and continuously assess operational, people, and external risks that could impact delivery, employee safety, or business continuity in Lahore
* Develop, maintain, and regularly test business continuity plans (BCP) to ensure uninterrupted operations under disruption scenarios
* Lead incident response and crisis management, including clear escalation protocols, decision\-making frameworks, and communication cascades
* Ensure operational resilience through redundancies and fallback processes, minimizing disruption to global workflows
* Partner with global leadership to provide early visibility on emerging risks and ensure alignment with firm\-wide continuity and risk management strategies
**Profile**
Successful candidates will typically bring:
* 10\+ years of leadership experience in expert networks, knowledge services, consulting support, research, or operations environments
* Experience managing high\-performing professional teams in fast\-paced client service settings
* Strong operational and performance\-management discipline
* Familiarity with expert engagement models, primary research processes, or knowledge platforms
* Ability to lead through change and build trust during periods of transition
* High personal integrity and commitment to ethical leadership
* A working understanding of local regulatory processes, including government audits and legal requirements.
* Outstanding communication skills in English
