Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
**GL Accounting Manager**
to oversee accounting and tax compliance for operations in Pakistan and the Gulf region. The ideal candidate will have
**15\+ years of experience in accounting and tax management**
, with strong expertise in Pakistan’s tax regulations and IFRS.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Oversee monthly and annual closing, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate audits.
* Ensure accurate and timely tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, payroll tax).
* Manage tax audits, inspections, and dispute resolution with authorities and consultants.
* Supervise and mentor 2\-3 accountants; coordinate with regional and group finance teams.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, payroll, billing, receivables, payables, and cash processes.
* Maintain compliance with internal controls and financial processes.
* Provide support for ad\-hoc projects and tasks as required.
**Required Skills \& Attributes:**
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and Pakistan accounting standards.
* Experience with financial statements, audits, and tax compliance.
* Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills.
* Detail\-oriented, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
**Qualifications \& Experience:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s, ACCA, or CPA preferred.
* Minimum 15 years of relevant accounting and tax experience, preferably in Pakistan operations.
