**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Functions Manager to oversee and coordinate a variety of hospitality and catering events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supervising teams, managing food preparation, and ensuring all functions meet the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for guests while maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
**Responsibilities**
* Lead and supervise the planning, organisation, and execution of functions, banquets, and special events.
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
* Manage kitchen staff, including supervising team members, delegating tasks, and providing training where necessary.
* Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and customise menus accordingly.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas.
* Monitor food production processes to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
* Collaborate with front\-of\-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery during events.
* Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory effectively.
* Handle any issues or complaints promptly to uphold the organisation’s reputation for excellence.
**Qualifications**
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or hotel environment.
* Supervising experience with a strong background in team management and leadership.
* Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
* Previous experience managing functions or large\-scale events is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, staff, and suppliers professionally.
* Knowledge of hospitality operations including serving, barista work, or hotel services is advantageous.

Pay: £24,420\.00\-£30,000\.00 per year
