Job Description
**Job Title** Financial Systems \& Data Integration Analyst **Job Summary** We are seeking a Financial Systems \& Data Integration Analyst to analyse, design, and implement technology solutions that integrate client financial systems with the firm’s internal accounting and audit platforms. The role involves evaluating business requirements, mapping data flows between systems, and developing efficient solutions to ensure accurate and secure transfer of financial information. The successful candidate will work closely with accountants, auditors, and client stakeholders to improve financial data processing, automate workflows, and support technology\-driven audit and accounting services. **Key Responsibilities** **Systems Analysis and Business Requirements** * Analyse business requirements relating to financial reporting, accounting processes, and audit workflows. * Evaluate existing client accounting systems and identify integration requirements. * Produce system requirement specifications and technical documentation. **Financial Software Integration** * Design and implement integration solutions between client accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage Accounting and the firm’s internal systems. * Develop data mapping processes to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data. * Support implementation of APIs and automated data transfer processes between financial platforms. **Data Architecture and Process Design** * Design efficient data structures and workflows to facilitate the transfer and consolidation of financial records. * Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting data processes. * Develop solutions to improve system performance and data reliability. Stakeholder Collaboration * Work with accounting and audit teams to translate operational needs into technical solutions. * Liaise with client IT teams and software providers to ensure compatibility between systems. * Provide technical guidance on financial systems architecture and integration. **Testing and Implementation** * Conduct system testing and validation to ensure integration solutions function correctly. * Troubleshoot system issues related to financial data transfer or system compatibility. * Support deployment of new systems and provide technical documentation. **Data Analysis and Reporting** * Analyse financial data across multiple systems to identify inconsistencies or anomalies. * Support the development of reporting tools using analytics platforms such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau. **Required Qualifications** * Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. * Strong understanding of system analysis, data integration, and business process modelling. * Experience working with financial or accounting systems. **Technical Skills** * Data analysis and database management (SQL, Python or similar). * Experience integrating cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage Accounting. * Knowledge of API integrations and ETL processes. * Data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau. **Key Competencies** * Systems analysis and solution design * Business process improvement * Financial data management * Stakeholder communication * Technical documentation **Typical Duties (Aligned with SOC 2133\)** This role involves: * analysing IT systems and financial business processes * designing system improvements and integrations for accounting records * implementing technical solutions to meet organisational requirements for financial reporting * evaluating and improving data workflows across multiple software platforms to meet all the regulatory and financial reporting requirements Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent Pay: £40,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year Work Location: Hybrid remote in London IG1 1BA
