**About the Opportunity**
On behalf of a well\-established environmental consulting firm, we’re recruiting for an experienced
**Approved Professional (AP)**
under BC’s
**Contaminated Sites Regulation (CSR)**
to join their growing team in
**Vancouver**
. This is a senior role with significant impact — ideal for an AP who enjoys working on technically challenging projects and wants to be part of a highly collaborative, multi\-disciplinary environment.
You’ll lead contaminated sites files from assessment through to remediation, liaise with regulatory authorities, and mentor junior staff — all while working with a team that values integrity, innovation, and work\-life balance.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead contaminated site investigations and remediation projects in accordance with BC’s
**Environmental Management Act (EMA)**
and
**CSR**
.
* Serve as the
**AP of record**
on Stage 1 \& 2 PSIs, DSIs, risk assessments, and RAPs.
* Prepare and submit Instruments of Record including
**Certificates of Compliance (CoCs)**
and
**Approvals in Principle (AiPs)**
.
* Communicate directly with the
**Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV)**
and other stakeholders.
* Mentor junior and intermediate staff and provide technical QA/QC oversight.
* Support business development through proposals, client engagement, and strategic input.
**Qualifications**
* Designation as an
**Approved Professional (AP)**
through the
**Contaminated Sites Approved Professional Society (CSAP)**
.
* Professional registration in good standing (
**P.Eng, P.Geo, R.P.Bio, BCIA, or CAB**
).
* Minimum
**10 years of experience**
in environmental site assessment and remediation.
* Strong knowledge of BC CSR, EMA, and relevant regulatory processes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Valid BC driver’s license and availability for occasional site visits.
**Assets**
* Experience with
**complex remediation projects**
, groundwater modeling, or sediment assessments.
* Background in proposal writing or business development.
* Previous consulting experience in a multi\-disciplinary setting.
