Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of licensed Professional Engineers, Senior Engineers and Project Managers, this candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to: * Performing design, computations, and evaluations with wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems. * Designing pipe alignment in Civil 3D, pumping systems, sewer modeling, and wastewater treatment design * Writing reports and specifications, gathering information, drafting correspondence, and completing progress reports * Client interaction and teamwork with other disciplines * Coordinating \[permitting efforts with various local regulatory agencies, including local and State health departments and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Qualifications: * At least a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline * 0 – 3 years of design experience * Willingness and ability to complete field work a plus. This can involve climbing elevated structures, descending into excavations, entering confined spaces (below ground vaults or above ground storage tanks) and being in the vicinity of heavy construction equipment and vehicles is a plus * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is highly preferred * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written * Self\-motivated and eager to learn * FE/EIT and OSHA training is a plus, but not required Schedule: Monday through Friday Salary Range: $58,000 – $68,000 Benefits: * Employer 401 K contributions * Health, dental and vision coverage * Compensated time off and holiday pay * Short/Long term disability coverage * Life insurance * Flex spending Program
