An employment opportunity exists for a
**TEMPORARY Full\-Time (1\.0 FTE) Elementary Classroom Teacher**
effective May 1, 2026 to June 26, 2026 at Daaxiigan Skadaa Née K\-12 School.
**Requirements**
* A university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position;
* Understanding and being committed to the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children;
* High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
* Experience with multi\-grade classes an asset;
* Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students' strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs;
* Assume responsibility for the development and execution of Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans;
* Knowledge of school\-based teams;
* Be prepared to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged;
* Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators;
* Understanding of local resources and environment;
* Teacher Regulation Branch certification.
Competitive Salary: $65,971 \- $113,312 per annum
Remote and Rural Allowance: $3,035 per annum
Travel Allowance: $1,136 per annum
