The schedule also makes this an excellent opportunity for candidates currently completing a diploma in the Early Learning and Education sector, offering meaningful hands\-on experience alongside their studies. In this rewarding role, you will provide nurturing care and engaging, developmentally appropriate programming for school age children in a safe and inclusive environment. You’ll work closely with families, colleagues, and community partners to help children thrive before and after the school day. This position is a great fit if you hold a Recreation Diploma, Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or are a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and are looking for meaningful part\-time work with excellent compensation. It is often spontaneous and responsive to their immediate interests; topics are driven by the ideas and questions from the children themselves * Engage in caring, curious, and respectful interactions with children to support their growing relationships with themselves, each other, and the natural world * Actively encourage and promote outdoor learning and play with the children * Be committed to the welfare and development of all children, and be available for consultation, information, and resources for families and guardians * Welcome the diversity of all families, role modelling inclusive and accessible language To qualify for this role you have… * Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Education, Recreation or Child and Youth diploma * RECE in good standing with the CECE or member of Ontario College of Teachers or equivalent * Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a group setting * Clear Police Records check completed in last 6 months * Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification * Proven ability to work closely with other team members * Sensitivity and respect for individual and cultural differences * Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of the job We are an equal opportunity employer.
