Job Description
**Job Title: Director of Sales**
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Director of Sales to lead and scale our wholesale business across multiple channels, including specialty, farm \& fleet, national chains, and off\-price. This individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding distribution, and building strong retail partnerships while managing and developing a high\-performing sales team.
This is a highly visible leadership role with significant ownership over both existing business and new account acquisition.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Sales Leadership \& Strategy**
* Own and execute the wholesale sales strategy across specialty, farm \& fleet, chain, and off\-price channels
* Drive seasonal and annual revenue targets, ensuring consistent growth and profitability
* Analyze business performance, identify opportunities, and adjust strategy accordingly
**Account Management \& Growth**
* Oversee and grow key retail relationships across all channels
* Lead negotiations on pricing, margins, and terms with a strong financial lens
* Partner with internal teams (merchandising, production, finance) to align on assortments and forecasts
**New Business Development**
* Proactively prospect and open new accounts across priority channels
* Identify white space opportunities and expand distribution strategically
* Represent the brand in market, at trade shows, and in key buyer meetings
**Team Leadership**
* Manage, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals
* Set clear KPIs and hold team accountable to performance goals
* Foster a high\-performance, entrepreneurial sales culture
**Financial Ownership**
* Own forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning across accounts
* Ensure strong margin management and profitability across channels
* Leverage data to drive decision\-making and improve sell\-through
**Travel**
* Travel approximately 20–30% for account meetings, market appointments, and industry events
**Qualifications**
* 8–12\+ years of wholesale sales experience within apparel (premium denim strongly preferred)
* Proven experience managing multiple channels: specialty, farm \& fleet, chains, and off\-price
* Demonstrated success in opening new accounts and scaling distribution
* Strong people management experience with a track record of building and leading teams
* Highly financially savvy with deep understanding of margins, pricing, and forecasting
* Strategic thinker with a hands\-on, roll\-up\-your\-sleeves mentality
* Excellent relationship builder with strong negotiation skills
Salary $160,000\-$180,000 \+ 20% Bonus
