**Job Overview**
Plan A Technologies is looking for an outstanding
**Director or VP of Sales**
. The sales executive's responsibilities are largely focused on generating leads and securing meetings. The sales executive is expected to have an established business network in one or more industries that can be effectively leveraged while also demonstrating a creative and effective ability to identify new prospects.
**Responsibilities**
In this role, you will be selling to Directors, VPs and C\-level executives, primarily in IT and product development roles. It will be your job to identify potential leads, set up introductory meetings, attend events and trade shows, and effectively articulate the Plan A “story” in meetings. The job requires someone who is extremely self\-motivated and doesn't need a lot of supervision to bring deals to fruition.
* Prospect for clients and set up introductory meetings.
* Work with our other team members to deliver amazing software solutions and technical advisory services.
* Consult with and advise executives about technology trends.
* Communicate with customers and potential customers effectively in a variety of environments.
* Deliver best practice presentations and speeches at major industry events.
* Be the first contact point for many customers – must leave an amazing first impression, and set the foundation for long\-term client relationships.
* Provide support for key business processes, including forecasting and business planning.
* Leverage sales tools to meet and exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
* Stay up to date on technology, including trends, roadmaps, market conditions, etc.
* Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
* At least 10 years of work experience and expertise in one or more industries.
* Genuine technical credibility and the ability to drive discussions with C\-level stakeholders at startups and large enterprises.
* Enthusiasm for consultative sales and advising clients.
* Experience developing, maintaining and obtaining meetings with C\-Level relationships
* Strong professional network/industry connections to identify opportunities, develop effective partnerships, and generate sales opportunities.
* Able to travel to onsite events as needed (the job will require roughly 10% travel)
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a fast\-paced sales environment.
* Highly interested in technology, especially software development.
* High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Exceptional listening skills and the ability to persuade, using communication creatively to convey complex concepts.
